Daniel Sturridge looking to come back soon in Liverpool

The Liverpool fans would be absolutely frustrated to know that he star player of the side Daniel Sturridge is not going to make his comeback anytime soon.

The 25-year old England international got unfit yet again yesterday while training with the Reds squad. The injury is believed to be in one of his thighs.

Sturridge had injured his thigh a couple of months back as well, but, that was different sort of injury. This time around, it’s a strain as per the medical reports.

The recovery period is going to be of the same length though. Sturridge will have to be out for one and half months more which means he is done for this year. He will be back next year only now.

Sturridge’s come back would surely have given Liverpool that penetration in the front line which they seemed to have lacked in the last few games.

But, now with Sturridge having another setback, there are problems for Brendan Rodgers who would be really feeling like pulling his hairs out at the moment.

Sturridge was the main part of the plans of the Reds’ boss at the start of the summer. The 25-year old was expected to be the leader of the attack, but, unfortunately, he has had a nightmarish season and Rodgers is now struggling to find somebody who can be as good as him upfront.

Mario Balotelli has been a huge flop at Anfield till now. He has, in fact, not scored at all in the Premier league for Liverpool. He has played 9 league games and his goals’ tally is zero.

In Europe, the Italian has shaken the net once and that’s the only significant contribution that he has made for Liverpool during the summer.

Liverpool has to play against Crystal Palace this Sunday at home. Sturridge was going to play in that, but, obviously, that would not happen now.
