LEIVA SAYS THERE'S STILL TIME FOR LIVERPOOL TO DO SOME BUSINESS

While Liverpool fans have continued to wait on their club to confirm the signing of another player this summer, it continues to look like they will have to wait in vain as the club have continued to look like they will not be engaging in any more business activities after confirming the arrival of French defender Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig. The Reda confirmed the agreement with Leipzig and the defender before the end of last season and the transfer was made official this summer after the player traveled to England to complete the medical tests and proceeding to sign on the dotted lines to confirm that he is contracted to the club.

Since then, Liverpool have been rather quiet in the summer transfer window and it continues to look highly unlikely that they will sign any other payer with each day that passes. Konate is a top signing and manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that he was pleased after the signing was done and dusted. However, having been asked a couple of times already whether the club do have plans to sign any other player this summer, the German manager has refused to give out any tangible information, insisting that they will sign another player only when they deem fit.

Their former player Lucas Leiva has now called on the club to get active in the summer transfer window as there is still time for them to sign one or two more players. Leiva says it might prove very costly for them if they insist that that they do not need to sign another player and they may have to face the same crisis they faced last season.

The former Reds star argued that the move by other clubs to strengthen their squads is a smart one and Liverpool should follow suit if they want to challenge their rivals for trophies this season.
