LUCAS COVID-19 TEST RESULTS GENUINE – REPORT
Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei has reported that the results of the Covid-19 tests carried out on Lucas Leiva and two of his Lazio teammates were genuine and not doctored. The Covid-19 tests were done at the FuturaDiagnostica Laboratory by three Lazio players namely Lucas Leiva, topscorerCiro Immobile and shot stopper Thomas Strakosha.
The report delivered on Sunday stated thatthe tests carried out at MassimilianoTaccone’s Laboratory were deemed to be genuine upon the processing of their recent DNA tests at the Avellino prosecutor’s office. This was done to determine if there was cheating or exchange of test tubes with the tests carried out on Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva and his teammates. In the end, the examination of the tests done by a University Professor confirmed that the test results were genuine. Professor Paola Salvatore was responsible for determining if the test results were genuine or not.
Italian Serie A outfit Lazio have never been under investigation since the case started. Prosecutor Vincenzo D'Onofrio heads the case which is set to end soonest. At the end of six months, the magistrates can do three things namely request for a trial, ask for an extended investigation of six months or file a report.
The investigation above dates back to when Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile tested positive to Covid-19 shortly before the UEFA Champions League clash with Belgian team Club Brugge and the situation forced him to miss the league game with Torino a few days later. Immobile returned a positive test again thereby missing the games against Zenit St. Petersburg (Champions League) and Juventus (Italian Serie A).
Just like what was obtainable with Immobile, Strakoshaand Lucas Leiva also suffered inconsistent results during that period.
