Daniel Sturridge looking to come back soon in Liverpool

The Liverpool fans would be absolutely frustrated to know that he star player of the side Daniel Sturridge is not going to make his comeback anytime soon.

The 25-year old England international got unfit yet again yesterday while training with the Reds squad. The injury is believed to be in one of his thighs.

Sturridge had injured his thigh a couple of months back as well, but, that was different sort of injury. This time around, it’s a strain as per the medical reports.

The recovery period is going to be of the same length though. Sturridge will have to be out for one and half months more which means he is done for this year. He will be back next year only now.

Lucas Leiva make his place back in team

After not being in the first-team plans of Brendan Rodgers in the first half of the season, midfielder Lucas Leiva has forced himself back into the plans after some impressive performances in the Champions League and the Premier league.

After struggling with defending throughout last season, the defensive record of Liverpool just got worse this season. This is despite the club spending more than £ 20 million on defender Dejan Lovren.Rodgers recognised that a change needed to be done and he focused on improving defensive performance in the key Champions League match against Ludogorets.
