INJURIES HIT LIVERPOOL
Submitted by isport on Tue, 01/21/2014 - 07:41The manager of Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers, hopes that Lucas Leiva doesn’t miss games because of the injury that he discovered while representing the Reds in a league game against Aston Villa last weekend.
Leiva had not been included in the starting line up of Liverpool for that game. He came onto the pitch at the start of the second half and was looking in fine touch, but, with about 25 more minutes remaining in the game, he collided with one of the Villa players and injured his knee. He was not comfortable at all while leaving the ground and that led to the speculations that it might be another spell on the sidelines for him.
