Agent Delivers Fresh Update On The Future Of Lazio Midfielder

Agent Mateja Kezman has revealed that there has been not any agreement in regards to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s departure from Lazio in the summer. The Serbia international has turned heads across Europe after a standout campaign in the Lazio shirt and this has spread speculation of him pursuing a big-money move elsewhere.

Despite this, his representative Kezman has clarified that the 23-year-old is focused on his job with Lazio for the moment, he said: “Lazio have three big games to go and nobody has talked about any negotiations at this moment. The Biancocelesti have the opportunity to get their best result of recent years by qualifying for the Champions League. It’s only normal there is enormous interest in Sergej between some top European clubs, but we do not have any agreement with any club.”

A number of high-profile sides have been linked with the Serbian’s services but out of those, Manchester United has commanded the most attention from the media. United boss Jose Mourinho is on the search for a new midfielder to replace Michael Carrick who is going to retire in few weeks’ time and Milinkovic-Savic has been touted as a potential replacement.

Nevertheless, Lazio’s asking price could put them off from lodging a summer approach. The Capital outfit have already clarified that they are looking for a sum in upwards of £80m and this could turn into a stumbling block for United, who are also aiming to bolster other areas of the field during the summer.

Aside from a central midfielder, the FA Cup finalists are also weighing up moves for a couple of full-backs with Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young having entered the twilight of their respective careers. Southampton’s Cedric Soares has recently emerged as a possible contender to strengthen the right-back spot whilst Tottenham’s Danny Rose has been tipped to reinforce the other side of the central defence.
